ANDREW STAFFORD - 'Pictures of Places'

river bela summer landscape

Andrew Stafford trained as an artist at Hornsey College of Art from 1963 - 1967. After graduating he trained as a teacher at the Institute of Education (University of London). From 1968 he taught art for thirty-five years in London and Lancashire, and for one year in America.

He has exhibited widely and his work is represented in many private collections. His speciality is landscape in which he sets out to use a range of weather conditions and effects of light to produce an individual interpretation. This is achieved through the expressive use of colour often applied with energetic brushstrokes. He works in oils and acrylics on canvas and draws in pencil, pastels and coloured pencils on paper.

Andrew undertakes commissions for individuals on their preferred subjects.
